Whyatt goes to a pet adoption fair in Storybrook Village where he meets a little puppy who needs a family. Whyatt promises to look in a book to help until the puppy reveals he has a story of his own! As the superhero readers travel through the book Woofster Finds a Home, they find exciting ways to overcome obstacles and a new super reader joins the team!

- This is the story of Whyatt first met Woofster. He would then become the new member of the Super Readers.
- This is the 1st & only time Super Why has ever changed a sign!
- The sign in the story "No Trespassing!" references both of the 1941 film Citizen Kane. And the 1986 film Stand by Me. It also references the episode of The Brady Bunch called Law and Disorder.
- This is the first episode where Nicholas Kaegi voices Super Why/Whyatt, replacing actor Nicholas Castel Vanderburgh.
- Woofster is a pun of Webster. It is also a pun of Woofster from the Ward Bond and Robert Vaughn western Wagon Train.
- This is the first episode to be animated by Gallus Entertainment, replacing C.O.R.E. Digital Pictures, after its closure on March 15, 2010, although some of the footage from C.O.R.E. Digital Pictures is used in all of the Season 2 episodes.
- This is the last time to use the intro from Season 1.
